Sha-Boooom

Sir Ian Mckellen was, after having concluding his other business, rapidly selling copies of his latest book, from where he was sat at the driver's seat in one of the buses. Noteworthy was the fact that it was a right hand side traffic sort of bus. I was considering if I wanted to buy a copy, mostly because I wanted Sir Mckellen to sign it, but I wasn't carrying any cash and I didn't want to ask my friend Ali, the drummer from Stolen Routes, out of embarrassment. Instead, I took one of the book and opened it up on the front page and wrote a greeting to Sir Ian there, thanking him for something that he had done that I liked. I then realised that this was a foolish thing to do, sending him a greeting in one of his own books, which I now would have to buy, so I tried to hide it away.
It was time for lunch and I somehow ended up with Ian in a cafĂ©, where he treated me to lunch and we started to play some sort of word game. We were given small cubes and other shapes, which had letters or words on each side and coloured in four different colours. The idea of the game was to create two word sentences with the shapes, which then would be laid out like a jigsaw where everything had to match (sorry, can't explain it any better). Sir Ian said it was a child's game and probably too easy, but I couldn't see how it could possibly be easy with so many shapes. We started creating words, chatting along as we did so. We talked about passion on stage and how to act out from a script. I was making the point that if the words in the script were already intense, then it was easy to make the mistake of acting intense as well, which I believed many other actors did (though I phrased it more like I did it when starting out as an actor). The point was that if the words already are strong, then there's no need for added emotion. Sir Ian didn't completely agree on this and we talked a while, when suddenly someone came to fetch me.

I was brought to a big stage in front of a canal, where a huge crowd had gathered on the other side of the canal to listen to whatever was going to play. The presenter was working the crowd, telling them that it was time for Sha-Boom to rock us all away! I had put makeup on, looking like a skeleton and wearing my black long shorts, high boots and a black hoodie. People were ushering me on stage and I tried to resist, complaining about that they wanted to see this "Sha-Boom" and not me. However, there was no choice in the matter. My beloved band, Stolen Routes, was already there and plugged in, so we started our set with Persia, as was planned. The whole band also had makeup, though theirs was green with black stripes on the outer edges of the face. We rocked Persia and the audience was digging it. I didn't dare sing too close to the mic, because I thought it would be too loud, but then when we got to the final chorus I brought it straight up to my lips and the crowd went absolutely wild with the increased volume of my singing, so I kept it there. It was incredible intense, we rocked hard and they LOVED it. I was ecstatic and we finished the song with a huge roar from the crowd.
The presenter came back on stage, once again introducing me as Sha-Boom and told everyone that Sha-Boom loves a good after party and will see you all there. Apparently this was it and we only got to play that one song, so I got off stage and was met by my old friend Budrik, who apparently was waiting for me. I asked him who the hell Sha-Boom is and he pointed at me.
  "It's you man!"
  "Oh yeah? Since when?"
"Since you showed people at that party yesterday that you can rap to redneck music like a boss"
I vaguely remembered this and still didn't make the connection to why that name was, but the rest of the band caught up and all were euphoric. I asked them who had given them makeup and there was a girl there who raised her hand.
  "Fucking awesome" I told them.
So apparently from now on I was Sha-Boom with the world and the world did love Sha-Boom. I made a WhatsApp update stating simply "Sha-Boooooom!!!" and woke up.
Band make-up.
